The Atari 2600+ comes out tomorrow for $129.99 (see it on Amazon). Anyone who lived through the early days of console gaming, or who’s interested in seeing what it was like, may want to take a look at this thing. It’s a slightly smaller re-creation of the original console, but unlike the original, it has an HDMI out, so it can connect to modern TVs.

The CX40 joystick wasn’t the only way to interact with old-school Atari games. Some games worked better with CX30 paddle controllers. This bundle includes two CX30+ controllers, as well as a cartridge that includes the following games:

All of these games use the two paddle controllers.

The 2600+ can play most original Atari 2600 and 7800 game cartridges (see compatibility list on Atari's site). It also comes with a 10-in-1 games cartridge with a nice selection of games to help get started with (my fav of the games on the 10-in-1 cartridge being Missile Command).

Nov 25, 2023 · The wonderful Atari 50 compilation for PC and modern consoles costs the same as one new Atari 2600+ cart, yet nets you a slew of superb games for the Atari 2600 and six other systems. Or if you want something mini-consoleish, the latest Atari Flashback costs less than the 2600+ but bundles 110 games.
