May 17, 2024 · Having the 2600 and 7800 homebrews has been great, but I also feel like Atari could certainly do a lot more on that front, as there are still tons of unreleased games for those systems as well as for the 5200, Lynx, and Jag that would all help fill out the library.
Do we have any word on how many units Atari has sold so far? It's estimated that the Indiegogo campaign included about 10k units, and I doubt they've doubled that amount yet. The official (and more positive) subreddit for the VCS console only has about 500 subscribers.
