Stargate SG-1. Stargate SG-1 (often stylized in all caps, or abbreviated SG-1) is a military science fiction adventure television series within Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer 's Stargate franchise. The show, created by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner, is based on the 1994 science fiction film Stargate by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich.
After SG-1's ending and these two movies comes the 4th season of SGA. The first episode you're talking about is actually a two-parter. "First Contact" and "The Lost Tribe," the mid-season two-parter from Season 5, not Season 4. With SG-1's enemies mostly defeated, Daniel Jackson had made his second visit to Atlantis.
