You can craft m80 once and have many good raids with an m700. Same with SNB for 7.62x54. Then when you're lvl 37, you can run m80 in your full autos, and craft m61s. The whole point of this ammo nerf process is to buff armor and increase average ttk I think. And crafts being strong benefits weekend warriors more than no-lifers.
You’ve basically just got to craft it. I think it’s actually cheaper to craft M62 than it is to craft M80. Best ammo crafts IMO are .45 AP, 7.62x39 BP and M995. I tend to avoid 7.62x51 because you will literally never get them back off insurance. I got an AKM back 7 times before I lost it this wipe.

The 2 scenarios I think M62 and M80 are different apart from the obvious, tracer and non tracer. M62 is more likely to pen class 4 at distance e.g. ulach at 150m. M62 has a better chance to pen class 5 on the first hit, roughly 1 in 3 chance. M80 is roughly 1 in 10 chance to pen class 5 on the first hit. We're talking korund, altyn, slapp plate.
Crafts in Escape from Tarkov allows you to produce many items.
