    Adding to the previous comments. Harvard has received 61,220 apps in 2022 for ~1,600 spots. In the same year, McGill received 44,534 apps for ~6,500 spots. Sure McGill is a helluva lot less selective than Harvard but this should give an idea as to why the acceptance rate is so high.
