Aug 30, 2012 · This is kindof overkill for an amphib. I would go with 2"X2" or 2 1/2" and 3/16" thick for the "T" and lighten the materials for the rails. The top of the trailer is 7" off the ground, giving 4" of clearance. If you go to a local salvage yard, look for an early 90's chrysler minivan (I think 85-95 work) and get the rear hubs and stub axles.
