The Atari VCS could fill the same role without any change. The only holdback is the 32GB SSD, but this can be alleviated with USB storage (or installing a second SSD in the other slot, but that's not realistic for most consumers). How's this for an expansion? An official "Atari 400" keyboard that includes some flash memory?
