New international students' health insurance for first semester. All new international students enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or exchange program at SFU have been automatically enrolled in a mandatory four (4) month primary medical insurance plan for their first term through guard.me@SFU and the plan fee automatically included in their tuition fees.
Medical Insurance. You must have medical insurance for the entire duration of your studies. The Canadian health system provides a high standard of health care, but care is very expensive if you are not insured. Without insurance, you could pay thousands of dollars per day for a hospital stay or even be refused certain services.
Last day to drop a class for 75% refund of tuition. Last day for a refund of student fees (Student Services, Recreation-Athletics, and Student Activity). A 2% monthly interest charge will be assessed on the outstanding balance after tuition deadline and on the first of each month thereafter. Last day for 50% refund of tuition.
