Don't do what others say and allocate half your ram, you only need 2/3 GB Maximum, you don't even need to allocate 16 GB, unless you are using hundreds of mods. EDIT: I don't even think you would need 16GB with 1,000 mods.

Either you allocated too much ram (never go above 8gb) or you have a memory leak. No modpack should use that much ram, let alone one with only 100 mods. Do install foamfix or ferritecore (depending on your version) to get that ram usage down.
