The 2023–24 Main Estimates present a total of $432.9 billion in budgetary spending, which reflects $198.2 billion to be voted and $234.8 billion in forecast statutory expenditures. Non-budgetary expenditures of $269.4 million are also presented.
In 2023–24, $500.0 million was refocused to current government priorities as presented in Supplementary Estimates (B), 2023–24. The authorities presented in these Main Estimates reflect reallocations undertaken through the Refocusing Government Spending exercise, totaling $2.3 billion in 2024–25.
