  1. Jan 5, 2023 · 5. Ronal. 4. Lo’ak. 3. Colonel Quaritch. Show 2 more items. While the movie’s incredible effects definitely take center stage, The Way of Water also has a number of memorable characters, some ...

    • Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) Sam Worthington reprises his role of disabled ex-marine turned forest-dwelling Na’vi Jake Sully, only this time as a father of four — two sons and two daughters.
    • Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) Neytiri is the Na’vi love of Jake’s life. The story of their relationship can be found in the first “Avatar” film, in which Neytiri fell in love with Jake despite him being an outsider.
    • Kiri (Sigourney Weaver) Kiri’s conception inside the Avatar body of the late scientist and researcher Grace (Sigourney Weaver) remains a mystery, but the young daughter of the lover of the Na’vi people carries on a lot of Grace’s characteristics, like her fascination with the creatures of Pandora and how the whole system of the planet connects.
    • Quaritch (Stephen Lang) Stephen Lang returns to Pandora in a reincarnation of sorts of his character from the first film: Colonel Miles Quaritch. Though Jake killed Quaritch’s human form and body on Pandora in “Avatar” (2009), scientists had prepared for such an event by storing his memories and essence on a backup hard drive to use for an Avatar body they inserted him into on Earth.
    • Kiri Is A Fascinating Way To Keep A Great Actor Around. Sigourney Weaver was a huge part of the first Avatar film with her character, Dr. Grace Augustine, a scientist who sympathized with the Na'vi and only wished to learn from them, not steal from them, as Parker Selfridge wanted.
    • Neytiri Is Even Better Than In The First Movie. One of the best parts of the first Avatar is the character Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldaña, and her suffering as she loses her father, brother, and home.
    • Neteyam Sacrifices Everything. Neteyam, played by Jamie Flatters, is the firstborn son of Jake Sully, and the unofficial leader of the children when they're out on their own.
    • Jake Sully Is The Center Of The Franchise. Sam Worthington's Jake Sully is a bit of a problematic character with white savior complex issues from the first movie clouding his better traits.
    • Dalin Rowell
    • Miles Quaritch. One of the most frustrating characters (if not the worst of the entire bunch) in the original "Avatar" is the cartoonishly villainous Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang).
    • Kiri. In any good blockbuster franchise, one character is destined for magical, unspeakable greatness. And in "Avatar: The Way of Water," that's Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), the Sully family's adopted daughter.
    • Miles 'Spider' Socorro. The only human of interest on this list, Miles "Spider" Socorro (played by Jack Champion), has a story that's one part "Tarzan" and one part Greek tragedy.
    • Lo'ak. Initially, Lo'ak (played brilliantly by Britain Dalton) seems like a frustratingly familiar character. Not only does he evoke the same angsty energy of other teen protagonists, but when paired with his space whale pal, Payakan, Lo'ak comes across like a sci-fi copy of "Free Willy's" Jesse.
    • Neytiri. In Avatar: The Way of Water, Neytiri deals with a lot, in rapid succession. First, she has to leave her home after promising her deceased father that she would watch over her people, and she feels an enormous amount of guilt for that.
    • Kiri. Kiri is the daughter that Jake and Neytiri adopted after Grace died in the first movie. She proves to have Jake's smart mouth and Grace's intellect, as she fights and struggles with being different from the other members of her family.
    • Lo'ak. Since Neteyam is so much like Neytiri, there's no doubt that Lo'ak is a carbon copy of Jake. His mannerisms, the way he taunts the other kids, and even his speech is a copy-and-paste of his father, so it makes sense that the two knock heads often.
    • Neteyam. Neteyam is the oldest son, so in return, he has an extreme amount of weight and responsibilities to carry around with him. From what we saw of Neteyam, he's most like Neytiri in a sense that he's more level-headed than his brother and father.
  2. Dec 20, 2022 · 7 Tsireya. Played by Bailey Bass, Tsireya, also known as Reya, is a young freediver from the Metkayina clan. She is the sister of Aonung and the daughter of the clan's leaders, Ronal and Tonowari ...

  4. Jan 14, 2023 · 7 Kiri Is The Sully Family's Adopted Daughter. Sully and Neytiri's adopted daughter, Kiri adjusted to her new home's customs much more seamlessly than the rest of the family. Her general optimism provided an excellent contrast to many of the movie's stoic characters, which made her every moment on screen enjoyable.
