When browsing for modpacks, editing projects or adding more contents, you might have seen a distinction between Forge and Fabric. In short, these are two different modloaders that help enable Minecraft modding as you know it in the CurseForge app.
However, all mods in the mods folder for the minecraft version 1.7.10, but ran in the modpack still in the minecraft version, 1.12.2. Now I would like to know how to change the minecraft-version for downloaded mods, which can only run in older versions to newer versions.
In CurseForge, click View Profile on the modpack, and open the menu beside the Play button. Then click Profile Options. Scroll down to Current Modloader Version. You should be able to locate the desired version in the list.
Modloader Version = Choose the version of Forge that is compatible with your mods (If you are unsure leave at the default option). Click Create. Click My Modpacks then select your custom profile. Right click the desired modpack, and click Versions. In the window opened, you can find all the modpack versions in the dropdown box, and information on the modpack’s changes. Select the desired version and click Continue. The new version of the modpack should be downloaded.
