When browsing for modpacks, editing projects or adding more contents, you might have seen a distinction between Forge and Fabric. for those not using the curseforge launcher, look for the forge installer, click on the three lines at the top left corner and find your game version then download the installer. After the installer has been downloaded, open it with java then extract/install client then whichever one made the folder that says the version needed should be dragged into versions>folder of the modpack.
Click those dots and a drop down menu should show. In that menu click Edit Profile. That should take you to a bigger pop up window where it tells you game version and stuff. Scroll down to the bottom of that window and you should see the option of the ModLoader as a drop down list. In that list you should be able to change the ModLoader version.
Open the CurseForge launcher and click the Minecraft logo on the left side of the screen. Right click the desired modpack, and click Versions. In the window opened, you can find all the modpack versions in the dropdown box, and information on the modpack’s changes. Select the desired version and click Continue.
Launch FTB. Click on the ‘My Modpacks’ tab. Hover your cursor over the modpack you wish to switch the version of and select the ‘More’ triple dots icon. Click on the ‘Versions’ tab and scroll through till you find the version you’d like to use. Once you find it, select the ‘Downgrade’ or ‘Update’ button beside it.
