I purchased this grille after reading reviews that it was narrower than 36". My screen door is 32" with a screen width of 27.5". I turned it sideways and it fit perfectly. It looks great and matches my white exactly. It goes up the door 36" and keeps dogs and kids from pushing out the screen. Much better than the 30" most guards protect.
