    • Scrub the Glue with WD-40® Multi-Purpose Product. There still might be some glue residue left behind in the seals, so start cleaning that first. You can use WD-40 multi-use spray to remove the glue.
    • Sand the Metal. To provide the adhesive a clean and even surface so that the rubber sticks properly, the next step is to sand the metal thoroughly. Use a fine-grit sandpaper and start rubbing in circles.
