    Captions (subtitles) are available on videos where the owner has added them, and on some videos where YouTube automatically adds them.     1. Go to the watch page of any video.

    2. Tap the video player once to show options, tap  to turn on Captions.

    3. To turn off Captions, tap again.

    Note: If you don’t see, then Closed Captions (CC) aren’t available for this video.

    2. Tap any line of caption text to jump to that part of the video.

    Note: Some videos will allow you to search by typing specific keywords in the search bar at the top of the transcript.

    You can select or change your caption settings on any TV, game console, or media device that supports YouTube.

  7. Jun 10, 2022 · I know to turn off closed captions go to settings to accessibility to display the subtitles captions etc. and make sure they’re turned off. Close captioning came on without me asking it to suddenly this morning. I’ve tried everything to turn it off and cannot get it to do so.
