    While Katie Holmes expressed interest in Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark 2during a 2011 interview there was never any real sign one was being developed. While the ending of the first movie left the door open, the story also felt complete. It also doesn't help it was a box-office letdown, grossing around $39 million on a $26 million dollar budget.

    While a decent little horror movie, Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark has been all but forgotten since its release. With Guillermo del Toro focused on countless other projects like Nightmare Alley, it's very hard to see him or any else involved with the project circling back to Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark 2.
