While I see myself getting the platinum for a year to get the SUB, I can't justify a $695 AF beyond year one especially when I am already paying for the $250 amex gold AF. I recognize that the AF can be offset leveraging a number of credits, but quite frankly I don't value many of those credits at all (i.e., never use airport lounges, never shop at Saks, etc.).
