Spoilers. I'm curious what people think about Outcast, now that the series has wrapped up? It was okay. The beats of the story seem shorter than the amount of issues there were. I really enjoyed the art and color (especially at the end). In the afterward, Kirkman revealed that the tv show came first and then the comic.

Hayden Christensen is the main protagonist of "Outcast" and he plays the stoical, taciturn, gritty, lost, down-and-out, wandering badass with measured assurance. The role actually suits him – considering his lack of acting skills and emoting capabilities – and is one of his very few, decent performances.
Jun 17, 2015 · In the short time since its release Outcast has developed the reputation of a total disaster. I don’t think it’s that bad. Which is not to say that I think it’s all that good either. It’s an overly familiar historical action movie that’s beaten down repeatedly by bad dialogue and one of Cage’s career worst performances.

The first episode of Outcast follows the first issue of the comic pretty closely -- but that doesn’t mean the entire series will be a direct page-to-screen adaptation. Robert Kirkman has said the TV series will both expand upon and alter some of its source material.
