  1. As I stated, I'm anime only when it comes to Overlord so I only used the knowledge I possess in my evaluation. I'm also anime only on How Not to Summon a Demon Lord so same standard. I really need to start that novel though. So if he presents a more tactical behavior against unknown opponents in the novel that could well change my evaluation.

Full Dive is a rather new anime but it is quite the same as How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord in the sense that it involves a character having to play a game that would alter the course of his life. A too-realistic VRMMORPG, Kiwame Quest, is played by Hiro who realizes that the game is much more than what he expects it to be as it translates to real l...

  2. It's a lot more lighthearted but {Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku} is pretty dang close and not mentioned yet. Problem children are coming from another world, aren't they? I discovered Overlord while on Hulu and watched all three seasons in 2 days. I’m in the middle of How NOT to summon a Demon Lord and it’s good so….

  3. If you like How NOT to summon a Demon Lord you may also like this anime. The main character gets transported to a different world that seems like the ones often played on his homeworld. He is also overpowered and stronger than everyone else. One major difference is that this character hides how powerful he is.

  4. Have the overpowered main characters, isekai and non-human protagonist. The difference is Overlord have violence and seeing the world different than TSSSDK. Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken is more friendlier, building trust and friendship to many different people.TSSSDK = Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken. Naiu says...

  5. 2 days ago · Overlord is a funny show itself, making KonoSuba a great comparison for anyone who wants to laugh even more than they do watching Overlord. It doesn't have the same depraved themes or bleak moments, but that's what makes KonoSuba so special. Kazuma may or may not defeat the Demon King, but he'll be making people laugh the entire time regardless.

  7. Watch Danmachi, not an isekai but great hero's journey story with amazing fantasy wordlbuilding/lore and overflowing with waifus. I almost dropped it like 3-4 episodes in because I was just like wtf is this cringe ultra-cliche protagonist until it clicked and I realized he's meant to act as a contrast to a world that's gone jaded and depraved, and showing the effect that one dumb kid who just ...
