  4. In short, while it's a film I'd consider showing to my class at the outset of a series of lessons on Buddhism, I wouldn't recommend it to one who's read any of the sutras or studied Buddhism in depth. In that sense, it's good for what it is: an introduction to the life and teaching of Buddha.
