The book is very much worth the read, stay away from the television series, it completely missed the point of the book just to tell the JFK assassination side of the story. It is not horror material, it does contain a few nice Easter Eggs to other King material, and offers an entertaining point of view on time travel and parallel universes that is different from what King has done before.

Jan 15, 2013 · 11/22/63 is the sneakiest romance novel you didn't realize you were reading. Starts out as a thriller and could have been so much more. Broken promises. If this book had ended the story that it started, it probably would have been amazing. Of this I have little doubt. If the book had begun the way that it ended, I would have never picked it up.
