I absolutely love FPS style deathmatch games, and 'Battlezone 2000' is one of the most fun games I've played within this realm. It's just relentlessly enjoyable to get into a title that shows off the Lynx capabilities to this degree and which plays as well as it does.
May 28, 2013 · The developers made a true "2000" game much like Tempest 2000, a complete reimagining of Battlezone. Very complex, 2000 levels, scaling and solid polygon enemies instead of vector graphics. Atari then deemed it too complex and had them make a straight port of the old Battlezone instead.
Whether with one player or four, BATTLEZONE 2000 is a fast-paced and challenging upgrade of the original arcade game. There's enough variety and excitement to keep most players entertained, though some might find it a little repetitive.
By far the coolest element of Battlezone 2000 lies in its ability to be linked-up by up to four players total. If you manage to round up four Lynxes, four copies of Battlezone 2000 and three ComLynx cables, prepared for some non-stop fun.
