Aug 27, 2024 · I imagine the 7800 works better now, than the plus ever will, not counting future hardware revisions, so if you can do WO HDMI, and 2600 plays nice with your tv, I'd say 7800 for sure. Expand. It plays champ games which is a major advantage. Because those games are some of the more desirable games.

  5. Oct 18, 2011 · Posted October 19, 2011. Pros: - some great games you can only play on the 7800. Some of the homebrews are excellent. - compatibility with 99% of the 2600 games. A few don't run but I found that was pretty rare. Cons: - Some 7800 games require the 2-button 7800 joysticks, and I strongly dislike these controllers.
