However, during the more recent years, it was brought to light and content creators began to have less minor clickbaits as time goes on, as people are aware of it and generally dislikes videos that are clickbaity.

  3. And now with these endless ads in YouTube. It's gone from a useful resource to largely crap. Once you filter out all of the pure bullshit suggested channels, you end up with barely anything suggested at all. YouTube can't even suggest useful videos because all of the traffic is on the meaningless garbage. Has YouTube reached its end of usefulness?

A good clickbait, however, does the opposite. Viewers will keep watching because they won’t feel tricked. And lastly, your comment section will be reflective because people just love to comment.

In no particular order, I think some problems are: (1) the algorithm doesn't necessary give you what you want (and doesn't seem to penalize view drop-off rate hard enough), (2) real YouTubers with good content have began to make their videos clickbait (e.g. Tom Scott), (3) YouTube doesn't give you good filter tools.
