Mage, the most improved class overall. In vanilla, it was quite defensive. Here, it can hold its own as one of the best classes in Calamity. It makes you feel like a badass, high DPS, fun to play as. Summoner, arguably the most different class in the entirety of Calamity.
The new content is very high effort, the game progression of the mod is nearly perfectly paced, and of course, the bosses are (for the most part) really, really good. Soundtrack, sprite work, custom effects, all of it is exemplary.
Does rogue continue to be fun and viable or should I start looking to ranger? My loadout is: Dedalus armor, rogue emblem, skyline wings (working on it), frostspark boots, deific amulet, and obsidian shield (working on it).
Sep 27, 2021 · Calamity is a good mod and it's usually the intro to modded Terraria for most people since it's so popular. It's the best mod for people looking for a real challenge in terms of difficulty and that mostly want to focus on big boss fights (it also has an amazing soundtrack.

Jun 16, 2022 · That being said, while I and many others regard Calamity as being one of the best - if not the best - content mod ever released for Terraria, it's a pain at times and QoL mods definitely make it more enjoyable in my opinion.
