  2. Calamity has fantastic sprites, music and items but absolutely pathetic excuses for bosses. I don't even understand how they made them so bad. There's so many unique things in the mod yet the bosses are just reskins of vanilla ones with like an extra attack or two, if that.

  3. That's why I've always been pairing calamity with some other mods that aid the gameplay. My personal experience: wing slot - pretty much one more accessory slot, but well within reason. even more modifiers - not too keen on it, gets overpowered quickly and is not well polished.

  4. I would recommend for your first calamity play through to avoid other major content mods to get the best experience, as for QOL mods, recipe browser and magic storage are a must, as the amount of new items nearly doubles the size of the game. I would also recommend alchemistNPClite.

    • New Town NPCs. Forget about the hard-to-spawn Truffle NPC, because the Calamity Mod is where it's at for a busy village. There are five new NPCs introduced in the mod who offer their services to you: the Archmage, the Bandit, the Drunk Princess, the Sea King, and the Brimstone Witch.
    • General New Mechanics. There are a number of overall mechanical changes in Calamity, such as new debuffs, different types of fishing, changes to the rarity of items, a death mode, and several methods of death prevention.
    • New Items. If you thought Rogue was the only class to be given new items, you would be dead wrong– every class in the game has received a plethora of weapons, accessories, and armor sets that allow them to be competitive in the face of new, difficult foes.
    • New Structures. Alongside the new biomes, there are a few new structures that spawn during world generation. Take the evil island as an example: this floating island is made from blocks opposite of the world evil (so Corruption or Crimson) and spawns with a locked Biome Chest.
  5. Sep 23, 2023 · Favorite. Share. What is Fun Mode? Fun mode is a self-imposed challenge I started work on after returning to Terraria after a short absence. I decided to attempt it after my fairly long time between my last Calamity guide upload and now, with my last run recorded being Bricks Only a few months back. The rules of the run are as follows: -GetFixedBoi

  7. Sep 27, 2023 · Calamity: Fun Mode (Hardmode) By Okami Tomato. Calamity challenge runs have been a thing I've done for a while, but most of them have been about removing my own abilities vs actual game difficulty... so why don't I change things up a bit. Fun Mode; potentially the new hardest Calamity run I've done and potentially the hardest one I've seen.
