Nov 24, 2016 · isCreatureType(EnumCreatureType.monster, false), it works great for vanilla mobs and can be overridden by modders like myself to add logic to hostility checks, in my case I can check if a mob is owned by a player (not hostile) or wild (hostile).
The usual cause is one of the mods adding a monster that doesn't despawn but can spawn normally. Usually monsters that can't despawn spawn with the land instead of doing normal darkness spawns. Shulkers are a vanilla example of this.
Jan 7, 2010 · Found my answer on a youtube comment! Open your server LAN (with cheats on) put the game on creative mode /gamemode c then type in this command /gamerule doMobSpawning or /gamerule doMobSpawning true. As soon as I did this mobs started spawning left and right!
Jul 28, 2015 · This stems from a bug in Forge that causes unreliable spawn information to be given to mods. The Forge team has fixed this bug on 1.19.4 and above however older versions will not receive this fix. This issue will not affect users on 1.19.4+. The mobs still spawn but they are invisible?
Primitive Mobs and Ender Zoo both add some decent vanilla styled mob variety, but one of my favorite things is Enhanced Celestials which adds blood moons where the limit on mobs spawned at one time is raised pretty high.
