  2. This movie is too good for how few comments are here. People are missing out on a very good movie. I thought the performances were extremely good, and they are one piece of a world (90s-2000s Harlem) that feels so real. This movie’s greatest strength is its authenticity I think.

  3. That being said, A Thousand and One was a very good film, and the acting was especially terrific. The story is harsh and tragic, but life’s like that sometimes isn’t it? It’s not like the problems the film delves into don’t actually exist. But as Cord Jefferson’s film puts out there: that’s not the issue.
