When they find words “missing” or changed, they think something sinister has happened. In reality, both can be perfectly faithful translations of the original language.

Whoever told you it was the most accurate translation was either pulling the wool over your eyes, or was deceived him/herself concerning the facts. This not the case. Please do not spend a lot of your energy defending the KJV.
