Amman is a nice place to live in, but not for entertainment. Everything is over priced for the quality that is offered. Amman is good for visiting your grandmother, doing laundry and hanging out at the neighborhood supermarket. Which is not suitable for foreigners.

The area you choose in Amman is so important, and coming in the low season which is winter and fall, will give you a verity of options and lower rates.
Life is pretty good in Amman, good food, relatively cheap, much to do, great nature and an early hiking culture, great cafes are everywhere. Needless to say the weather is better than Canada. The cutout for a good living is at least 1200 Joe a month, if for one person. Pretty cheap by Canadian standards. Reply.
