The 24-inch iMac M1 has a 23.5-inch screen with a resolution of 4480x2520, which Apple is calling '4.5K'. The pixel density is 218 ppi. The 27-inch iMac's screen has a 5K resolution of 5120x2880, which is also 218 ppi, so there's no difference in terms of sharpness.
