  5. Dec 25, 2013 · Battlezone is yet another impressive port of an arcade game onto the 2600. First off, the gameplay is stellar. Battle zone was a great first-person tank shooter, & Atari did a great job translating what made the original arcade game so much fun. Another great thing is the music & sound effects, but especially the graphics.

  6. Battlezone is among my favorite arcade games. I played it often while growing up. The Atari 2600 version may not look as nice as the arcade version, but it is among the better ports to the system. It's not exactly a first person view like the other versions. Your front of your tank is at the bottom of the screen.

As crude as the first-person shooter graphics may be, the game feels like a real tank simulator (minus the volcanoes and UFOs).
