According to the Delaware County Board of Elections, the unofficial results of the Nov. 7 general election were Stephen P. Fujii 5,738 (28.47%); Zach Duffey 5,116 (25.38%); Brandon Hoge 4,679 (23.21%); Todd W. Smith 4,623 (22.94%).

Oct 30, 2023 · I am a current Big Walnut Local School Board of Education member. I serve on the Ohio School Board Executive Committee as a representative for the Central District. “The two most important issues facing the Big Walnut community are 1. sustaining Academic Excellence and 2. planning for growth as good stewards of district resources.
It is unacceptable that, overall, students' knowledge of civics and history has declined and that the national average ACT score for the high school class of 2022 declined to the lowest level since 1990. Keeping Big Walnut Schools as a top rated district is of the utmost importance.
I will vote for INDIVIDUALS. I will NOT use this election as a referendum on outside politics. The number of times national politics and/or political platforms have influenced my decision making relating to BW Board votes is ZERO- as it should be! The focus of the school board should be on kids and the operations of the school district.
