Like Mel Brooks’ “ The Producers ” (1968), it’s about fringe players who strike out boldly for the big time.
It wouldn't be surprising if this movie slipped by you - it was released with a pretty dull, uninformative poster and meaningless title in a summer of popular films (Matrix, Sixth Sense, Blair Witch, Eyes Wide Shut, Phantom Menace, Spy Who Shagged Me), and I've never heard it mentioned since.
