Breakout is an arcade video game developed and published by Atari, Inc. [7] and released on May 13, 1976. [2] . It was designed by Steve Wozniak, based on conceptualization from Nolan Bushnell and Steve Bristow, who were influenced by the seminal 1972 Atari arcade game Pong.
Breakout spawned an entire genre of clones and later inspired Taito’s 1986 game Arkanoid, which itself led to numerous imitators. In Japan, the genre is known as block kuzushi (“block breaker”) games.

A brick wall appears at the top of the screen, and your mission is to smash two walls off the playfield - one brick at a time. Use the controller to move the paddle across the bottom of the screen. With the paddle, hit the ball into the wall.
