The type of undergraduate education you get in preparation for medical school just will give you a slightly different perspective about the field of medicine. You may read what others have said, saying for example, physics students have the highest chance getting to medical school, or whatever. Honestly, these perspectives doesn't mean anything.

Fellow Chem B.S. pre-med here! A lot of your pre-med courses they want you to take (gen chem, organic, physics, some degree of math) are already involved in your course catalog for Chemistry. Yes you’ll have to add some gen bio in there as well, but I also had time in my schedule to have lighter load semesters or to pursue a minor.
Jan 26, 2021 · A biology major will be more likely to put you in the classroom or in the field while chemistry will have you in the lab. There’s also the question of motivation. Certainly not always, but generally speaking, biology tends to be about the study and protection of living things. It can be plenty lucrative, but is often not geared in that direction.
