You’ll also need gig speeds because the upload is the highest at 35. You’ll need decent upload speeds. I do quite a bit on the Internet and the Preferred 150 is fine with me. Keep in mind, you only get 10 Mbps upload, and you can only get a higher upload speed if you get Gigablast which comes with 35 Mbps.
1 Gbps is a waste of money for most households. It has almost zero effect on watching videos or gaming. Videos buffer fine at 250 Mbps. Gaming latency is probably pretty much the same on all cox plans, unless you have fiber. I found 250 Mbps was plenty. 4K video only needs 32 Mbps.
