Dead Still is a six-part Irish-Canadian television drama series, which premiered on May 18, 2020 on Acorn TV and May 15, 2020 Citytv. [1] The series is a co-production between Ireland's Deadpan Pictures and Canada's Shaftesbury Films and is written by John Morton, from a story by John Morton and Imogen Murphy , and directed by Imogen Murphy and Craig David Wallace.

Set in 1880s Ireland in the Victorian-era heyday of 'postmortem photography,' the six-episode period drama follows a renowned memorial photographer who is drawn into a series of apparent murders that appear to be linked to his work.

Feb 11, 2015 · Despite paying homage to such Asian classics, Dead Still’s excessive predilection for poorly-executed bloodletting and shudder-free scares doesn’t make for the prettiest of portaits. Whilst the premise sounded like it might just have promise, the stock script and acting that’s even stiffer than the film’s cadavers puts to bed any chance of the audience warming to the protagonists.
