Simply put, Dmz is fun for the casual player because it's simple and can be fun with a hint of Tarkov, but it's lacking a lot of important features. Traders, customization, risk factor etc... & is for those who don't have much time to play.
DMZ is allot like Tarkov in terms terms of economy, but mechanical wise, they are different, DMZ has faster mechanics, but EFT is allot more tehnical and MMR like, everything has to be calculated, the ammo, weapon, armor, positioning etc.
Nov 30, 2023 · Dmz is officially dead. Developers confirmed they are no longer updating it. Unfortunately extraction shooters are very complex games and its hard to create in depth systems for a casual audience, and because of that, AAA companies have mostly stayed clear of the subgenre. Escape from tarkov is the best iteration of this formula by far.
COD’s DMZ will be successful simply because Tarkov is not on consoles. A huge amount of console players, want Tarkov; DMZ sounds like the closest thing. As I said though, Tarkov will always be the “original” extraction shooter.

Nov 10, 2022 · So, for all the Tarkov comparisons before launch, it’s safe to say that Warzone 2 DMZ mode is really just the Call of Duty battle royale experience with a sprinkling of EFT flavouring. If anything, DMZ looks to be more of a gateway into the more hardcore experience of Tarkov, rather than something that could be a threat to its popularity.
