  1. Yes and No, I have been playing both COD and tarkov for some time. DMZ is allot like Tarkov in terms terms of economy, but mechanical wise, they are different, DMZ has faster mechanics, but EFT is allot more tehnical and MMR like, everything has to be calculated, the ammo, weapon, armor, positioning etc.

A single match of Warzone DMZ can take up to around thirty minutes, with the player dropped into Al Mazrah at a semi-random spot and tasked with extracting as much gear as possible before the timer runs out. There is a small radiation zone on the map where players can find DMZ’s mini-boss, the Chemist. Once the timer runs out, this zone will slowly...

Once the loot has been acquired, the hard part is getting it out of the game safely in both Warzone DMZ and Tarkov, which have similar extraction mechanics. From the beginning of a DMZ match, players can see three extraction points on the Tac-Map, where they are able to call a (noisy and attention-grabbing) transport chopper to take them away. This...

  3. A huge amount of console players, want Tarkov; DMZ sounds like the closest thing. As I said though, Tarkov will always be the “original” extraction shooter. There is a reason DayZ remains the go-to zombie survival game after all these years, because it has a certain “je ne sais quoi” that other games fail to capture.

  4. "Like Tarkov" is a catch-all term for what we consider now to be Extraction mode style games. You spawn in, collect loot/gear/whatever, and try to be one of the few people to make it out alive. Usually permadeath or something similar with relatively persistent gameplay outside of looting and combat.

  5. Nov 24, 2022 · The new Warzone 2 DMZ mode has a totally different vibe than other extraction shooters I've played. DMZ is not like Escape From Tarkov, where other players are automatically enemies, or like Hunt ...

  7. Nov 10, 2022 · He also adds that DMZ looks like “a more [fleshed] out and polished Hazard Zone”, referencing Battlefield 2042’s failed attempt at the extraction shooter genre. For Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo – who was actually invited to play DMZ and also subsequently leaked an unannounced cosmetic feature in Warzone 2 – it was immediately clear that this was not as close to Tarkov as he expected.
