While there are areas that we would like to see improved there is no denying that these are charming company. Nov 8, 2023 · Headphoneus Supremus. TLDW: Way less bloaty, much more clear, a very strong competitor to any headphone at any pricepoint. Weakspot: Dynamics. The very obvious mid-bass bloat has always been the dealbreaker for me with the original Empyrean and to a slightly lesser degree, the Empyrean Elite.
Nov 8, 2023 · New is the mention of “II” on the headband. Where the original Empyrean had a glossy yoke and ear cup finish, the Empyrean 2 this time round has a matte black finish. The vertical rod on the head band is now in shiny black and it has a grey accent on top. The side plate on the yoke now is silver and it’s showing the Meze Audio logo.
