Jan 16, 2024 · Meze Audio Empyrean II headphones Romanian headphones are, I have to admit, new to me; likewise, the idea of spending almost £3,000 on a pair. And yet that’s a comparable sum to my everyday loudspeakers and my former reference streaming amplifier, so it’s far from an outlandish amount, especially if it’s a principal source of musical enjoyment.

While there are areas that we would like to see improved there is no denying that these are charming company. Nov 8, 2023 · The vocals have good energy and the top end extends well. The mid timbre is nice but it’s missing some presence, as the vocals get pushed a little ;ore to the front. Even though the delivery is musical and energetic, I don’t find this source to make the Empyrean 2 its best. It’s not bad, but the Empyrean is capable of more.

Nov 30, 2023 · Reviewer at Ear Fidelity. May 31, 2024. Meze Empyrean II. Pros: The best Meze headphone to date. Natural, fun, emotional sound. Dynamic and plentiful, but not overdone bass. Lush, rich, smooth midrange. Great dynamics in the treble without an ounce of sibilance. Satisfying detail and accurate imaging.
