When her grandfather has a heart attack, Pili and her family travel to Hawaii to take care of him. Pili, who loves geocaching, finds out about a treasure on the island that her grandfather may have a map to. This leads Pili, along with her brother and friends, on a grand adventure filled with betrayal, spirits, and treasure.
*Light Spoilers Ahead- Finding ‘Ohana Parent Review* -Is Finding Ohana appropriate?-
Finding Ohana does have some scary sequences (including skeletons, spider bites, perilous situations). There is also some mild crude humor (mostly between the main character and her older brother). Overall, this movie should be fine for most kids over the age of 8.

Finding Ohana starts off as a seemingly straightforward family drama as we follow Pili and her family visiting Hawaii. It takes a very fun twist as Pili’s love of geocaching takes her to a much grander adventure. This leads to a hunt for an infamous treasure.
