Map Highlights are a collection of maps which are added on every day of the first week (Monday-Saturday) of every month.
The purpose of Map Highlights is to introduce different community maps to average players, adding fresh content every month for the public to enjoy. All maps can still be played in FE2 Community Maps unless specified by map creators. Highlights are treated the same way in-game as all of the permanent maps, such as having Map Events (excluding the Lost Page and Mirrored Map events) and being included in Daily Challenges. Along these new features, all maps added after March 2023 or available during the 6th Anniversary Event will reward you with a badge upon completion. A section in the Goals menu displays which of the current highlighted maps you have completed.

Here is a table of all of the highlighted maps from FE2's Official X Page from 2022. Note: All maps in this list were not added to Flood Escape 2 unless specified. These maps were highlighted before the modern Highlight system came into place. Some maps on this list may no longer be available to play.
Compared to the original guidelines for getting your map Highlighted, it has changed quite a bit.
It was announced in April 2023 that maps would no longer be added every month, instead every week on Saturdays. Due to this, April 2023's highlights are double the size of a normal month of highlights. This was further extended in the second week of July to 2 maps per week, making July and August 2023's highlight lists bigger than normal. This has now changed to 1 map of each difficulty being added monthly. In January 2024, Crazy+ maps were added to the highlighted map pool.
In June 2023, Flood Escape 2 Community Members had the option to choose which highlight added during the month was their favorite on @fe2game on Twitter / X. Whichever highlight got the most votes remained in the game for another 4 weeks. This is now no longer the case, as Twitter polls only allow up to 4 options in a single poll and most groups of highlighted maps exceed that number. The amount of Robux earned for getting a highlight in has also changed from 10,000 Robux to 20,000 Robux.
Other changes to this include the exclusion of maps in fangames, and possibly being ineligible if your map doesn't completely support Custom Flood Colors. based on all these comments FE1 is preferred by people with an iq of 10. people have preferences, you shouldn't make fun of them for that. i used to play fe1 a lot, but i really love how fe2 plays out so i prefer it more. Flood escape 2 is a death run clone.

To clarify, I'm looking for auras and/or tanks in FE2 that have bright illumination effects (and, in the former case, produce little to nothing in terms of flames/particles/etc., that can get in the way and even cause lag in first-person view). Just want to see better in the dark. 2 3. Share.
