Forgive me but im not familiar with the book yet but I've seen videos in youtube and now the basic stuff. So basically in that book the protagonist Rory is subjected to experiments using hallucinogenic gas to create nightmares that children were put through. The nightmare Rory goes through is almost the same as what we see in fnaf 4.
And the FNAF 4 game play bedroom is just a experiment by William to test the discs or something or maybe train Michael for the future games since the mechanics of FNAF 4 mirror most of the mechanics used in FNAF 1,2,3,SL and PS SIDs aren't canon in the games.
