  1. Oct 11, 2014 · While Fort Casey State Park has some more impressive historic locations, Fort Ebey has the FAR superior campground, hiking trails, and overall scenery (Fort Casey is right up against a port for the ferry -- crowded and loud). If you go to Fort Ebey, make sure to take a leisurely walk along the Bluff Trail!

  3. Apr 22, 2020 · So lucky to have visited Fort Ebey State Park. Amazing coastline and great sunsets. We enjoyed watching the Cruiseships glide past and listened to the tide crash on the beach. Enjoyed a picnic dinner on the beach. Rocky beach with coarse sand and lots of driftwood. We just day tripped and needed the Discovery Pass.

  4. It is, however, great for all ages. It is family friendly, though at the coastal part there are some areas you will want to hold onto small children. Since this is a Washington State park there is an entry fee of $10 per day, $30 a year. Recommendation: get an annual pass, because on Whidbey Island alone there are 3 State parks.

  6. Oct 12, 2017 · The campground switched to first-come-first-served after 9/15. There are plenty of spacious RV sites but not many with hookups. We spent a fair amount of time walking on the beach and sunning on the bluff by the gun battery. These things are fun to prowl. You need your campground receipt or a Discover Pass for parking.
