   Not entirely DRM-free. When you download a game, you're actually downloading a downloader locked behind your account details. Also it doesn't keep me logged in. These are annoying steps that hold me away from buying any more games of GamersGate. And their name brings back divisive memories. Date of experience: January 02, 2021

   As a long customer there, they are legit with pluses and minuses: They have flexible BlueCoins that comes as task or purchase reward which enables free purchases for small price games. They have GOG-like DRM free or other DRM games that are not on any other stores.

   Is GamersGate a legit shop?

   • Sometimes they have DRM-free games, sometimes they have non-Steam games with DRM, and not everyone thinks to look before it's too late. GamersGate is a legit shop. As for reliable, well, they had dropped quite a few balls a few years back. Haven't heard much about them recently. They're not a gray market, if that's what you're asking.

   Is GamersGate better than Gog?

   • It's almost as good as GOG in terms of straightforwardness. There's no client you have to use to launch the games. They tell you what DRM each game has on the game page. There's a countdown if the game sale will end within 24 hours. I like Gamersgate. They've got frequent sales and so far I've had no DRM troubles.

   Is GamersGate a good place to buy games?

   • Gamersgate has competitive pricing and wide selection. Their customer service is also top notch . Bought a game that was for controllers only and the next day I got a refund . Andrew the advisor made it all happen . He was great. Great place to buy games at great prices.

   Is GamersGate a good download manager?

   • Had trouble with the GamersGate Download manager (which on it's own is of course not great, but such things happen). Contacted support and they really took care of the thing, very quick replies, always helpful and after standard measures not worked, escalated and got their team really working on it until it was solved.
