   Aug 24, 2001 · Looking at John Carpenter's filmography list I realized that I haven't really seen that many of his movies but, of the few I have seen, some were pretty good, some were really good. With that in mind I had a certain expectation of quality entertainment, especially considering the cast of action movie vets like Ice Cube , Jason Statham and Pam Grier .

   The script isn’t that good, and some of the actors totally phone in their performances. With all that being said I absolutely LOVE this movie! It’s fun, fast paced, and cheesy. Ice Cube is so ridiculous in this movie, but I love the character. It has a great cast, and the effects are pretty good.
