- Some theists, however, argue it points to the existence of a God creating favourable conditions. But God isn't a valid scientific explanation. The theory of the multiverse, instead, solves the mystery because it allows different universes to have different physical laws.

Aug 1, 2024 · Nonetheless, there is powerful scientific evidence that points to God’s existence, and we’ll discuss two lines of this evidence below. One final caveat before we proceed relates to the term proof. Merriam-Webster defines proof as evidence that “compels acceptance by the mind of a truth or a fact.”
- Science has discovered ample evidence that the universe had a beginning. The scientific consensus 100 years ago was that the universe was eternal. This idea began to unravel with the implications of Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity back in 1916, where his equations pointed to an expanding universe.
- Science has found the universe to be fine-tuned for life. Almost 50 years ago, in 1973, cosmologist Brandon Carter found that the independent constants or laws in physics have one highly unusual characteristic in common—they are precisely the values needed to establish and sustain a universe capable of producing life.
- Scientists can’t explain the origin of life and its genetic code apart from an Originator. Contrary to what many have been led to believe, scientists have no realistic explanation for how life arose.
- Science has proven that biological life runs by millions of exquisitely programmed “robotic machines.” To understand what is happening inside a cell, a good illustration is picturing a large city teeming with life and movement.
Sep 3, 2020 · Are facts and truth two labels for essentially the same thing? Or, are they separate and radically different from one another? Is it possible to regard certain “facts” as true when they contradict what the Bible says? In today’s episode, we will answer these questions and also learn how genuine facts of science point us to God’s truth.
- The cosmological argument. The cosmological argument is fairly straightforward. A modern version of it reads: Whatever begins to exist must have a cause for its existence.
- The problem of evil. The problem of evil is the most famous argument against the existence of an all-powerful and loving god. It’s also old. For example, it provides the central theme of the Book of Job in the Abrahamic traditions.
- The teleological argument. Also known as “the argument from design,” the teleological argument claims the world’s complexity proves a designer exists. The argument is, again, rather straightforward
- Russell’s teapot. One of the more whimsical arguments against the existence of any gods was put forward by Bertrand Russell. And like any member of the British aristocracy in good standing, the third Earl Russell invoked tea in his argument.

Is there a science that proves the existence of God? Well-known atheist and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins wrote, “God’s existence or non-existence is a scientific fact about the universe, discoverable in principle if not in practice” (The God Delusion, p. 73).
